A lot of different people put their hope in a lot of different things like a new job, leaders, companies, countries and the list goes on and on from there. All these things, as great as some may be, are only temporary and fallible type of hopes. We all fall into this trap from time to time, but our ultimate and primary hope should be an eternal hope.
“And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.” (Psalms 39:7 NKJV).
We spend a lot of time running around trying to find hope in the temporal. We seek out new exciting things, interesting people and the like to ease our anxiety and feel a type of false sense of security and acceptance. But there is ultimately only One hope in which we can put our hope and trust in and that my friend is Jesus Christ.
We can scammer about all we want looking for the right thing or person to save us. I know with the election coming up many are putting their hope in a new leader and praising their choice. But we should rather be praying for the new leader and putting our hope where it counts. When the Lord intervenes we can be rest assured that all will be well.
The question I want to ask you on the last work day of the week (at least for some) is, “Where are you putting your hope?” Look to the Lord and put your full trust and hope in Him. When we submit to Him fully and put our full hope and trust in Him, He will then open up the correct doors and guide us safely about to where we need to be, when we need to be there. I just want to give a short bit of wisdom and encouragement for the day, so have a wonderful and blessed Friday and weekend! God bless!
